What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a series of procedures and involves the stimulation of points on the body. Using a variety of techniques, such as penetrating the skin with needles that are then manipulated manually or by electrical stimulation. It is one of the oldest healing practices in the world.

Acupuncture is an effective treatment option for a wide variety of health conditions commonly faced in our society. If fact, the National Institute of Health and the World Health Organization (WHO) determined acupuncture to be an effective treatment option for many different conditions.
A report released in 2003, determined acupuncture was a good therapy choice for the following:
- Adverse reactions to radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy
- Allergic rhinitis (including hay fever)
- Biliary colic
- Depression (including depressive neurosis and depression following stroke)
- Facial pain
- Essential Hypertension
- Induction of labour
- Knee pain
- Low back pain
- Malposition of fetus
- Correction of Morning sickness
- Nausea and vomiting
- Neck pain, Obesity
- Periarthritis of shoulder
- PCOS Postoperative pain
- Rheumatoid arthritis
